ABOUT CHICAGO RED ELEVEN

Chicago Red Eleven will once again compete in the Midwest Division of USL’s W-League, which will feature some of the top female soccer talent in the country. In this year’s WPS draft, over half of the 65 players selected have W-League experience. Last season approximately 100,000 fans attended W-League action throughout the country. A season in the W-League with Chicago Red Eleven will provide elite female players the highest caliber competition and training possible without playing in WPS. Our players will have countless opportunities to impress Red Stars Head Coach Emma Hayes and assistant coach Denise Reddy all summer long, as we plan to continue our strong relationship with our professional affiliate.

David Nikolic, associate head coach of University Wisconsin-Milwaukee, will serve as head coach of our W-League team this season. He will be assisted by long-time Chicago area coach Greg Muhr, and by Benedictine Women’s head coach Robyn Serge. Dave Madsen of Lakeland College in Wisconsin will coach the goalkeepers.

Home games will be played at the Village of Lisle-Benedictine University Sports Complex in Lisle, IL. Training will take place 3-4 times per week, primarily at College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, IL. Chicago Red Eleven will look to improve upon last year, their inaugural season that saw them finish second in the Midwest Division before a playoff loss to the Ottawa Fury.
