CHICAGO, Ill. (June 20, 2010) - Sunday afternoon, the Chicago Red Eleven played host to the Kalamazoo Outrage at The Village of Lisle-Benedictine University Sports Complex, where the Red Eleven won 1-0.
The Red Eleven goal came off the foot of Lindsey Page in the 39th minute. Page sent the ball past the Outrage inside the box after being passed by Kara Kabellis. This was Page’s first goal of the season and Kabellis’s second assist.
The Red Eleven improve their record to 4-0-2 while the Outrage fall to 1-2-1.
Chicago out shot Kalamazoo 21-1, with 11 shots in the first half and 10 in the second. The Outrage’s only shot came in the first half by Megan Murphy.
Kalamazoo’s goal keeper Julia Francy had two saves on the afternoon while Erin Kane had one for the Red Eleven.
The Red Eleven also had eight corner kicks to the Outrage’s two.
Beginning Sunday’s game the Red Eleven was tied for first place in the Midwest Division with the Buffalo Flash at 3-0-2. The Red Eleven will play home against London Friday and Buffalo Saturday.
